We chose this guest house for its location, but found it to be perfect! The staff was gracious and helpful, parking very convenient, all the facilities immaculate. Our rooms were cozy, but very comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfasts and ate a tasty dinner one of the evenings. The best part was the view of the Eiger, Monch, and Jungfrau. The location was good for visiting many locations in central Switzerland.

The location is unsurpassed. Our balcony room looked across the lake to the snow-capped mountains and we were tempted to remain there and just enjoy the view. But we also hiked the trails up the mountain behind the hotel, visited Interlaken and Lauterbrunnen, and enjoyed mingling with some of the students from the adjacent seminary who took turns serving in the dining room. Our room was very comfortable and we were impressed with the improvements that had been made since 1997.

I love this place! The view is unsurpassed by any luxury hotel. Rooms are comfortable and simple, but price is great. Access to Interlaken is free via bus 101 (takes 25 minutes). Great hiking right outside. Cold breakfast buffet daily. Additional meals available. This is an active seminary with students who work here and is a retreat center for groups and individuals, but anyone can stay here. Just understand it isn’t your typical hotel, and you won’t be disappointed!

This is my 2nd visit for a retreat with my church. Both in January. Everything is great: friendly service, good food, quiet room, convenient location (30min from Interlaken West by bus). My first stay has a lakeview which was breathtaking. 2nd stay has a corner room overseeing the parking and mountain which was still nice. The snow adds a lot romance. Had a very good time for reflection. There are lots to do in the area but we didn't have enough time. Would come again.
