Beatenberg

Beatenberg is situated in the Bernese Oberland, in the heart of Switzerland. High above the lake of Thun at an altitude of 1200 meters above sea level, Beatenberg has a panoramic view of the Bernese Alps. The breathtaking peaks of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau pose against a background of steel-blue skies. The blue and green waters of the lake of Thun sparkle far below Beatenberg. The village still possesses its country charm.

A very nice guesthouse with breathtaking mountain scenery. Mönch, Eiger and Jungfrau right in front of you when you wake up...

Also priced compared to other guesthouses in Switzerland for sure an insider tip. Especially for families with children! We were already here last year and are very happy to come back!

As a couple we spent two wonderful days at sbt guesthouse. Very nice and well furnished room. Everything very clean and hygienic. The food is a real treat for the palate. Warm atmosphere in the house.

Incredible views

Such a fantastic property, the staff were wonderful, the rooms were fantastic for a hostel which definitely exceeded my expectation. The shared bathrooms were clean. Bed was very comfortable and THE VIEW!! Wow!! Overall a fantastic stay!

Nostalgic return

...to this beautiful place where we first met twenty years ago

The location is unsurpassed. Our balcony room looked across the lake to the snow-capped mountains and we were tempted to remain there and just enjoy the view. But we also hiked the trails up the mountain behind the hotel, visited Interlaken and Lauterbrunnen, and enjoyed mingling with some of the students from the adjacent seminary who took turns serving in the dining room. Our room was very comfortable and we were impressed with the improvements that had been made since 1997.
