The breakfast was rich and varied. The location with a view of the mountains of the Bernese Oberland and Lake Thun is incredibly beautiful. There is an open, trusting atmosphere in the hotel. The service, often provided by students, was very pleasant. In addition, the price-performance ratio is extremely good. The hotel is highly recommended to single travelers, couples and families.

A fantastic place, the staff were wonderful, the rooms were fantastic for a hostel that definitely exceeded my expectations. The shared bathrooms were clean. The bed was very comfortable and THE VIEW!!! Wow!!! Overall a fantastic stay!

…to this beautiful place where we met for the first time twenty years ago

The location is second to none. From our room with balcony, we looked across the lake to the snow-capped mountains, and we were tempted to stay there and just enjoy the view. But we also hiked up the Niederhorn behind the hotel, visited Interlaken and Lauterbrunnen and mingled with the seminary students who took turns serving in the dining room. Our room was very comfortable and we were impressed by the improvements that had been made since 1997.

Wonderful community, great excursion and activity options, super friendly service, rooms are tiptop. With the guest card you can travel to Interlaken or to the cable car free of charge, there are also other great discounts with the guest card, e.g. ice skating in Interlaken or in the panorama pool in Beatenberg, the dessert buffet on New Year’s Eve was mega 🙂

As a couple we spent two wonderful days in the sbt guest house. Very nice and well furnished room. Everything was very clean and hygienic. The food is a real treat. Warm atmosphere in the house.

A very nice guest house with a breathtaking mountain backdrop. Mönch, Eiger and Jungfrau right in front of you when you wake up… what more could you want?

The hotel is run by Christians and the service is accordingly caring, honest and warm. If you want to enjoy Switzerland spiritually as well as enjoying good food, simple but clean rooms and great hiking opportunities on site, this is the place for you!

Compared to other guesthouses in Switzerland, the price is definitely an insider tip. Especially great for families with children! We stayed here last year and would love to come back!
